Once your baby is born, you’ll have a brand-new little person to take care of. Babies may be small, but they have big needs. It’s normal to feel a little anxious about all the things that need to be done to care for a baby.

Relax! Babies are very forgiving. You may not have mastered the art of diapering or dressing a baby, but you’ll have plenty of chances to practice and you’ll soon become an expert. Just take your time and enjoy getting to know your baby.

On the Road (Part II)

6:30AM I’m feeling a little queasy so I grab a handful of sunflower seeds and continue cleaning leftover dust and dirt. I just finished making both the americano for my husband and my latte. I’m hoping that this latte will keep the nausea at bay for at least the first few hours of the trip… well see. I heat the milk for my latte in a pan so the pan needs to be washed and added to the waiting-to-be-loaded-dish drainer. Once that’s done, I completely clear the kitchen and wipe down the counter tops, stove, sink, and faucet while leaving a pile of “items” on the kitchen floor that need to be thrown in the dumpster behind the house before we leave.

I’m pregnant! And I Have Breast Cancer

I am pregnant. And I have breast cancer. I am in the middle of a very large struggle. The truth is, if I weren’t pregnant, I would have never undergone chemotherapy. I would have let nature take its painful and inevitable course. I know I often play the role of wise-beyond-her-years sage here on Truu but the truth is, I am often stupid, and I am often scared. I am.

The truth is that I am not as enlightened as I manage to seem online. I often lose my temper, both at home and in public. I often tune my doctors out during treatment because hearing them talk is so painful. I
