Oscar Robertson dishes on LeBron, the Heat, beating cancer

Pop quiz: Name the do-it-all basketball superstar who got his start with an afterthought team in Ohio, struggled with mediocre teammates for years before pairing up with a talent his equal in a new town, to great success.

And oh yeah, he was born in 1938.

The answer, of course, is Oscar Robertson. The all-time great, who is the only player in NBA history to average a triple-double for an entire season, was LeBron James when LeBrons mom Gloria was still in Pampers.

Now 73, Robertson is long retired.

Opening Round: Bisping’s Blunder

Fans of the Chappelle Show undoubtedly remember a recurring segment called, “When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong”. The name of the bit provides all the necessary information, featuring a scenario where an individual’s decision to stand up in the face of adversity would result in horrific consequences. While the program only airs in syndication now, if Chappelle’s team were ever to reunite and needed new material they can simply tune into UFC middleweight Michael Bisping this weekend for a real life example of “keeping it real” going wrong.

US Marshals Seize Foods in Rodent-Infested NC Warehouse

U.S. Marshals seized foods in a Durham, N.C. warehouse last month due to rodent infestation. According to a press release from the FDA, upon a request from the FDA, U.S. Marshals were sent into the warehouse to seize foods considered adulterated by the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. The FDA made the order after a late July through early August inspection.

While the actions may seem dramatic, the FDA reports are equally so.

Far Too Many People Have Been Hurt By Good Intentions

They say there’s no such thing as a dumb question, but that’s not true. There is such a thing as a dumb question.

“When are you guys going to start your family?”

“Are you going to try for a girl?”

“Are you pregnant yet?”

“Shouldn’t you be working on baby number two by now?”

They’re all dumb questions. Unless you know the story, it’s really none of your business. You shouldn’t ask.
